Apocalypse Relief - c1813

This sculpture represents what will inevitably become the most precious possession in 2012, when the few survivors of the Mayan apocalypse will roam the barren, ash-strewn rubble of former metropolises, clothing tattered, flesh exposed. Clinging to a memory of a world long gone. Friends dead. Pets dead. Air thin with oxygen and thick with fear. A dented stockpile of canned peaches and condensed milk, the last barrier between humanity and cannibalism.
