Ouroboros - c2011

This installation reflects the cyclical nature of life. It is a vessel of water, the very same molecules of water that have existed since the beginning of time. A visual interpretation of the Law of Conservation of Mass which states that matter cannot be created nor destroyed, this interactive piece of intended to be ingested by the audience, as they imbibe the universal liquid and then naturally release it back into the atmosphere via saliva, sweat, tears or urine. Over time, the fluid will evaporate and then be reintroduced into the springs of Maine, eventually being re-bottled, re-displayed, and re-consumed as part of the eternal return.
